Do this to help you reach your goals…
Hello beautiful!
Something that’s been working wonders on helping me reach my goals, has been pinpointing the things that I’m tolerating in my life, and the excuses I use as to why I’m tolerating them.
If you’re feeling stuck somewhere in your life, I invite you to take an honest look at what you’re tolerating.
Most of my clients decide to work with me because they are fed up with tolerating the things that are keeping them from reaching their goals.
Things like:
a toxic work environment
saying yes to demands from their ex
unsupportive friends
unhealthy eating habits
not having enough time for self-care
When I sat down a few months ago to reflect on what I was tolerating, here’s some things that came up for me:
not feeling good about my body (excuse: blaming my hormones)
chipped and ragged toenails (excuse: it’s winter; nobody sees my feet)
sore neck and back (excuse: I can’t afford a massage)
a dirty vehicle (excuse: I don’t have time to go through the car wash)
disorganized financials (excuse: I’ll do it later)
Make no mistake, tolerations, whether big or small have a HUGE impact on your success. They mess with your energy, stall manifestations, block opportunities and keep you in a state of stuckness and confusion.
PLUS, they make you make excuses. And excuses are LIES. They’re lies we tell ourselves to keep us in our drama, in blame, and out of empowerment.
When I got honest about my tolerations and my excuses (aka lies), I was able to see the truth.
The truth was that the things I was tolerating were decreasing my energy, confidence, clarity and focus - all things I need (and want!) in my life and in my business.
I knew I needed to say no to the tolerations and yes to me. I booked a massage, pedicure, got my Jeep to a car wash, spent a Saturday organizing my financials, and made an appointment to see my naturopath. AND I committed to these self-care actions on a monthly basis. No more tolerations, no more excuses.
You know happened? I signed some new amazing clients. I “magically” feel better in my jeans. I feel more energized and focused than I have in a long time. I’m excited to walk into my office every day. I’m more motivated than ever to keep this commitment to myself because I see what beautiful results happen when I release my tolerations and say yes to what I truly want.
I want this for you, too!
I encourage you to take some time this weekend to make a list of all the things in your life that you’re tolerating, and the associated excuse. Then, ask yourself which one toleration you want to decide to no longer have in your life. Make the decision to discard it and then take action towards what you really want.
Let me know what happens!
